RESEARCH COMMUNITY

Good Questions Deserve a Shared Space
Research develops through careful inquiry, constructive disagreement and the willingness to reconsider an idea.
I am building this community to connect independent researchers, academics and practitioners who want to exchange knowledge and explore questions across disciplines. Different backgrounds are welcome. What matters is the care we bring to our work and how openly we examine it.
Explore, Question, Contribute
The aim is to create a place to discuss research questions, share relevant references and examine ideas in development.
A useful contribution might be a question that exposes an assumption, a paper that offers a different explanation, or practical experience that reveals something a proposal has overlooked.
We should be clear about what the evidence supports, what remains uncertain and what would need further investigation.
From Discussion to Collaboration
Some conversations may lead to shared work: reviewing a concept, refining a research method, finding complementary expertise or exploring a possible pilot.
My own developing projects include the Fortin Rural Economy Compact and the Fortin Flower. I welcome critical examination of these ideas, alongside proposals and questions brought by others.
Any collaboration should begin with clear expectations about contributions, attribution, responsibilities and the use of shared material.
A Community in Development
This section is taking shape. Planned features include focused discussion threads, online meetings and opportunities to connect around specific research interests.
These features are not yet open for registration. For now, the Contact page is the starting point for introductions and proposals.
Start a Conversation
Tell me about your interests, the question you are working on and the kind of exchange or collaboration you would find useful.
You can contribute as an independent researcher, through an institution or from professional and community experience.
